What it does

Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls is a 4/4 flying Demon that grows stronger and helps you draw cards whenever an opponent loses life for the first time on their turn. It is difficult for opponents to remove because they must pay 2 life to target it with a spell or ability.

Flying — This creature can only be blocked by other creatures with flying or reach.

Ward — Whenever this creature becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, that spell or ability is countered unless the opponent pays the specified cost.

Worth knowing:

•The ability only triggers once per opponent per turn, even if they lose life multiple times.
•If an opponent has already lost life before Valgavoth enters the battlefield on their turn, its ability won't trigger for that turn.
•The ward cost is paid in life, not mana — a significant tax on your opponent's resources.
